SYLVIA'S BIO

The practice of functional nutrition addresses the body as a whole and acknowledges the intricate relationship between its various systems. As a functional nutritionist, I take into account each person's unique health history, genetics, lifestyle, and dietary habits in order to uncover the root causes of ill health. My focus is not on specific dietary theories or current fads, but rather on designing a targeted and highly individualized diet and lifestyle plan to help you shift your internal and external environment in a way that supports optimal health and wellness.
I am a certified nutrition specialist (CNS) as well as a licensed dietitian/nutritionist (LDN) in the state of Massachusetts, and hold a graduate degree in functional nutrition from the University of Bridgeport and a holistic health coach certification from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
One of the professional achievements I am most proud of is completing my functional nutrition residency with the well established functional medicine clinic of Dr. Kara Fitzgerald where I had the privilege to work closely with a team of functional physicians and nutritionists to supporting patients with a wide range of health challenges including auto-immune disorders, cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, weight-loss resistance, cardiovascular disease, depression and more.
Above all, I am a proud mama of my three toddlers: twin boys, Liam and Lucas, and their "big" sister, Maya -- they are my everyday source of joy and inspiration.
My specialties Include: functional nutrition, digestive health, autoimmune disorders, integrative health and medicine, fitness, yoga, meditation.
I currently offer virtual consultations through Zoom or Facetime, which enables me to work with people from all over the world. Please, head over to my SERVICES page and schedule your initial intake session.
Look forward to meeting you soon ♥
