PERSONALIZED NUTRITION THERAPY

Personalized nutrition therapy takes into account the bioindividuality of each person as well as their unique health history, genetics, lifestyle, and dietary habits in order to uncover the root causes of ill health.

As a functional nutritionist and wellness coach, my focus is not on specific dietary theories or current fads; In my mind, there is not one right diet or approach to health that works for everyone all of the time. Each of us is unique, on a physiological, mental, emotional, and spiritual level. My focus is on designing a targeted and highly individualized diet and lifestyle plan to help you shift your internal and external environment in a way that supports your optimal health and wellness.

Ayurveda is considered to be the oldest healing science, originating in India over 5,000 years ago. Ayurveda is a highly individualized form of medicine which looks at each person's unique health challenges and imbalances to better understand the root causes of ill health. In Sanskrit, Ayurveda means Science of Life: “Ayu” means life and“Veda” is knowledge or science. Ayurveda places great emphasis on prevention and encourages the maintenance of health through close attention to restoring balance in one’s life, thinking, diet, and lifestyle. Knowledge of Ayurveda enables you to understand how to live in accordance with your unique constitution (dosha) and to follow nature’s cycles in order to restore balance and achieve optimal health.

In Ayurvedic nutrition, the first and most important step is determining your individual constitution and the root causes of imbalance that manifest in disease symptoms. Ayurveda says that our body’s natural state is one of balance and health. Most of us have shifted away from this state because of stress, toxicity, and inappropriate nutrition, and have stopped paying attention to the signals of distress. Ayurveda believes that by creating an optimal environment that supports our body’s natural healing process, we can help restore our innate ability to heal and restore balance.

Clients can expect their initial nutrition therapy consultation to be about 90-minutes long. I spend this time to provide you with a thorough nutrition and health assessment, followed by a complete treatment plan and specific lifestyle recommendations. Additionally, your first appointment fee includes a 30-minute follow up phone session to review the materials I prepare for you and to answer any questions before you implement your plan.

I currently offer in-person virtual consultations through Zoom or Facetime, which enables me to work with people from all over the world. If you wish to schedule your initial assessment, please fill out the form below and I will be in touch within 24 hours with more information on the next steps.
